What Fossils can you find Reighton?


(Reighton Gap) - 1994

Thin Kimmeridge Clay shales can occasionally be seen just near the concrete blocks seen above. Flattened Ammonites and bivales can be found in these shales. The Kimmeridge exposed zones are those from the hudlestoni to lower pectinatus. Shortly after Boulder clay follows with the start of the Speeton Formation at Speeton.
